Fort House

Referencing forts, the project balances privacy and social engagement, inspired by Golconda fort’s layered structure. Limestone-clad walls ascend in height from the street, scaling down the house. Privacy is prioritized on the south side with an impervious facade, contrasting with the dynamic interior. A multilevel courtyard cuts through the house, connecting private and public spaces. This hybrid void blurs the boundary between internal and external, facilitating programmatic connections and creating a focal point at the physical center of the house.
